Have you ever gone to the mall and looked at the cell phone kiosks as you pass by and see the cases inside? There are some with glitter, some with quotes that really speak to you and then there's just that one that says, 'This is the case for me'. I've run into these cases, lots of times! The only problem I run into, is price!
These kiosks claim to be cheaper then your local cell phone store, but they're the same price or HIGHER. The worst part is, they bought these cases for a few dollars a piece, not the $20 they're asking you for!

Lets use an iPhone 5 as an example in this:
You call up a cell phone company and ask to join their network, and they off you an iPhone 5 for $199 with a new 2 year contract. They offer you an unlimited plan to go with it since you're a chatterbox and need your text messages and data at all times. So your bill will probably be around $60 to $100 a month, (depending on how much data you get of course!)
Now here comes the reality of the situation:
- The iPhone 5 is actually around $700, this is the price you would pay if you got one WITHOUT a contract.
- If you stick with that plan for the entire 2 years you will have paid around $2,400 on your cell phone bill alone.
- If you CANCEL your contract before the 2 years is up, your early termination fee can be up to $350!
Based on this, you can see why the company is willing to GIVE you this phone at such a cheap price, because they're guaranteed to get their money back on the phone and THEN SOME from you.
Although you might not think of $199 as being cheap, the reality is,
you're getting around a 70% discount on your phone if you're willing to sign a 2 year contract.
Now what happens if you drop your iPhone 5 and the screen breaks?
Well, unless you forked out the extra dough to get insurance (which I would HIGHLY recommend if you're prone to dropping things!) or you're contract is ready to upgrade again (which normally happens after 18 months of your first sign up date) you're looking at paying $700 for another iPhone 5!
So you can see where a cell phone case comes into play here!
Without a cell phone case, you're leaving things up to chance!
You might bend over to grab something and it falls out of your pocket, or you set it on a counter and someone bumps it off, or your children might get ahold of it and throw it out of frustration!
Think of it like walking out into traffic! That's how likely it is your phone's going to get hit sometime, somewhere and you're going to be dishing out the extra cash to replace something that you could have been prevented by a simple cell phone case.
